Liver abscess is a purulent inflammation caused by the invasion of pathogenic microorganisms into the liver through various routes, with bacterial liver abscesses being the most common. There are symptoms such as chills, fever, pain in the liver area, nausea and vomiting. If left untreated, liver abscesses are life-threatening.
