Liver abscesses need to be diagnosed and treated early and their treatment mainly includes medication, puncture and drainage as well as surgery.
Bacterial liver abscesses are mainly treated with anti-infective agents, such as third-generation cephalosporins, aminoglycosides and quinolones. If conservative medication is not effective, drainage or surgery may be considered.
