The treatment of liver cancer embolus depends on the location of the embolus to determine the best treatment effect. If the cancer embolus of liver cancer is limited to one side of the liver lobe, surgical treatment can be adopted to eradicate the embolus, while hemihepatectomy is a very effective treatment. The location of the cancer thrombus must be below the branches of the left and right hepatic veins, and the treatment effect is better for the vessels below the secondary branches. If the thrombus is in the middle hepatic vein or primary veins such as the left or right branch, the treatment effect is relatively poor. Stereotactic radiotherapy or interventional chemotherapy can be considered, together with targeted and immunotherapy, which also have certain effect, but overall they are palliative treatment.
