How to prevent recurrence of liver cancer?

Some patients still have recurrence or even metastasis after primary liver cancer surgery or microwave treatment, so postoperative review and treatment are very important. Postoperative review can detect the recurrence of liver cancer at an early stage, and for patients with recurrence, early microwave ablation can still achieve complete ablation and cure. We know that more than 90% of primary liver cancer in China is caused by chronic hepatitis B and liver cirrhosis. Aggressive postoperative antiviral therapy can significantly reduce the recurrence rate of hepatocellular carcinoma. The patient’s viral index (HBV-DNA) must be reduced to a minimum, which facilitates the control of hepatitis and even the improvement of liver histology in a proportion of cirrhotic patients. In terms of diet: Alcohol must be abstained from alcohol, which is very harmful to the liver and can aggravate and accelerate cirrhosis and lead to recurrence of liver cancer. Patients should consume more fresh vegetables, fruits, milk, fish and shrimps and other protein-rich foods, which are beneficial to the improvement of liver function. According to traditional Chinese medicine, “liver is a rigid organ, which likes to be organized and is the master of drainage”, so depression and poor mood can lead to liver qi stagnation and long-term accumulation of qi stagnation and blood stasis, which can provide a place for cancer toxin to attach or lurk, and liver cancer will occur when the body’s anti-cancer toxin power is insufficient to fight against cancer toxin. According to Chinese medicine, liver cancer mostly belongs to the category of “liver accumulation”, “dropsy”, “jaundice” and “fat gas” in Chinese medicine. It is caused by the deficiency of positive qi, emotional and mental disorders, dysregulation of internal organs and epidemic toxin invasion. In general, Chinese medicine treatment is based on dialectical evidence and the general principle of treatment is to support positive and dispel evil.
