Hepatobiliary disease is now a common and frequent disease. The difference between these two types of pain is mainly in the cause of occurrence, the location of the pain, the nature and severity of the pain. Liver pain occurs mainly from diseases of the liver itself, which may be hepatitis, liver cancer, benign liver tumors, etc., while gallbladder pain is most often seen in diseases such as gallbladder stones and cholecystitis. The reasons for the occurrence of pain are still very different. In terms of the location of the pain, the liver and the gallbladder are both organs of the upper right abdomen. The pain usually occurs in the right upper abdomen. However, there is a big difference. Typical pain caused by liver disease is usually confined to the right upper abdomen, while gallbladder pain radiates to the right side of the shoulder and back due to radiating pain and involvement pain, which is a special feature of gallbladder pain. The two types of pain are also different in terms of the nature and severity of the pain. The liver is a substantial organ of the body. The pain occurs mainly due to the swelling growth of liver disease, and the pain is caused by the change of tension on the surface of the liver, so the pain will be dull in nature. It is similar to the pain of a wound on the surface of the skin where another object is placed. In contrast, the gallbladder is a hollow organ of the human body, and its pain is mainly due to spasm caused by strong contraction of the gallbladder sphincter muscle, and this pain usually presents as colic, similar to the pain of a wound stirred by a foreign object. The pain caused by spasm of the smooth muscle can be more intense and unbearable. The specifics of the pain vary and need to be carefully felt by the self. For both organs, the diagnosis should not be based on pain alone, but should also require the specific circumstances of the disease to make a comprehensive judgment.
