How to treat hepatic hemangioma

Hepatic hemangioma is a relatively common benign tumor of the liver, with cavernous hemangioma being the most common clinically. Patients have no obvious discomfort symptoms and are often found during examination or abdominal surgery. General treatment of hepatic cavernous hemangioma after diagnosis: 1.Small size without symptoms does not affect life, no treatment is needed, ultrasound examination can be done every 3-6 months, and follow-up and observation can be done at any time. 2.Surgical treatment: Surgical resection is the most effective method to treat hepatic hemangioma. Hepatic hemangioma removal, hepatic lobectomy or hemihepatic lobectomy can be performed. 3.Microwave curing and radiofrequency ablation treatment: it is suitable for larger or multiple hepatic cavernous hemangiomas that cannot be removed. 4.Hepatic artery ligation or hepatic artery embolization: applicable to a wide range of patients whose disease involves most of the liver tissues or large blood vessels. 5.Local radiation therapy: generally used as adjuvant treatment after hepatic artery ligation or embolization, which can promote tumor mechanization and hardening, and has a certain effect on improving symptoms and controlling tumor growth, also used for the treatment of small amount of residual lesions after surgery. Hepatic cavernous hemangioma is a benign lesion, which often develops slowly without any malignant tendency and has a good prognosis, and generally does not require treatment. For patients with symptoms of compression or risk of tumor rupture, multiple treatment modalities, mainly surgical resection, can be considered
