What are the main diseases that MRI looks for?

Magnetic resonance mainly examines the central nervous system, cardiovascular system, digestive system, musculoskeletal system, genitourinary system and other systemic diseases, especially for soft tissue lesions and cerebrovascular lesions with higher sensitivity.
1. Diseases of central nervous system: cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, intracranial tumor, intracranial infection, cerebrovascular malformation, craniocerebral trauma and so on.
2. Diseases of cardiovascular system: congenital heart disease, heart and large vessel malformation, cardiovascular tumor, coronary heart disease, cardiomyopathy, etc.
3. Diseases of the digestive system: cysts, tumors, stones, inflammation, etc.
4. Diseases of musculoskeletal system: joint soft tissue injury, bone tumor, degenerative disease, etc.
5. Diseases of the genitourinary system: uterine tumors, ovarian cysts, ureteral stenosis and obstruction, inflammation, stones and so on.
Magnetic resonance examination can assist physicians to determine the severity of the patient’s condition and provide support for follow-up treatment, but it should be noted that patients with metal implants in the body are prohibited from nuclear magnetic examination.
