How long to rest for gastroscopy to remove polyps

The resting time after gastroscopic polypectomy is related to the size, location and trauma size of polyps, and cannot be generalized. If the polyps in the stomach are large in size, such as polyps >2cm, with a large operating wound, or a large number of polyps, the rest time may take about 1 week. If the polyps are smaller in size, less than 1 cm, the number of polyps is small, and they are not neuroendocrine tumors, mesenchymal tumors, or smooth muscle tumors, the recovery time may only take 2-3 days. Patients should pay attention to a light diet after gastroscopic polyp surgery. In the early postoperative period, they can eat cold fluids, etc. After a period of adaptation, they can eat semi-liquid after about 3 days to 1 week. After surgery, we should avoid eating spicy and stimulating, too greasy food, but we need to pay attention to nutritional balance to help the organism recover as soon as possible. Patients are advised to actively deal with gastroscopic polyps when they are found. If other neoplastic lesions are excluded, they can be treated as usual and do not need to worry too much.
