Daily precautions for gout

  Gout is a metabolic disease caused by disorders of purine metabolism, leading to hyperuricemia and consequent tissue damage. The characteristic manifestation is an acute attack of arthritis. Gout can develop and lead to joint and kidney, heart and other organ insufficiency. The disease has a family history and cannot be completely cured, but can only be stabilized with therapeutic care to control its progression. However, the disease can recur under the influence of various triggers. In order to reduce recurrence, we would like to introduce the health care knowledge.  1. Rest in bed when the joint is painful, and start to resume activities after 3 days of pain relief. Avoid weight-bearing on the joint during the attack, elevate the affected limb, apply cold compresses locally, and apply heat, physiotherapy and warmth after 24 hours, which can reduce pain.  2. Colchicine can rapidly relieve acute attacks with nausea, diarrhea and other gastrointestinal reactions.  3, dietary care 1) In the acute attack, purine-free food should be chosen, such as skim milk, eggs, vegetable oil, etc., or low purine food such as rich flour bread, cookies, rice, vegetables, fruits, etc.  2) Patients often have no appetite during the attack period. Therefore, adequate amount of milk and eggs should be given and as many fruits and vegetables as possible should be consumed. Food should be as fine as possible, such as bread, rice, etc. The fluid intake should be above 3000ml throughout the day, and sodium bicarbonate type fluid can be used between meals.  3) Control weight, avoid overweight, limit fat and animal protein, and consume mainly vegetable protein.  4) A low purine diet should be used in the chronic or remission period, with a purine-free diet 2 days a week, with vitamin and iron supplementation and more fruits and leafy vegetables.  5) Forbid to eat high purine food, such as animal liver, kidney, pancreas, brain, fish, poultry, peanut, dried bean, whole grain, lobster, mushroom, spinach. To eat more alkaline food.  4.Strengthen physical therapy and physiotherapy. Physical therapy is based on stretching and flexion, and physiotherapy includes hot compresses, hot baths and ultraviolet massage to increase the blood circulation of joints.  5.Regularly review uric acid, blood, liver and kidney function, and add liver-protective drugs if necessary.  6.Avoid emotional tension, cold and hunger, infection, trauma and other factors to avoid disease recurrence.  7.Avoid the use of pyrazinamide, ethambutol, diuretics, salicylic acid drugs to avoid secondary hyperuricemia.
