Recommended diet for gout

Patients with gout are advised to drink more water in their daily life, at least 2000ml per day. The intake of fresh vegetables and fruits, such as cucumbers, tomatoes, apples and oranges, can be increased during the day. It is recommended to choose foods low in purines, such as potatoes, rice and cassava. Goat’s milk can be chosen as it is low in purines and protein. When cooking in general, try to choose cooking oils rich in unsaturated fatty acids, such as olive oil, to help reduce inflammation in gout sufferers.
