Minimally invasive surgery for the benefit of patients

With the development of laparoscopic technology, more and more general surgery procedures such as thyroid tumor, hernia, acute appendicitis, gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, gallbladder stones and common bile duct stones can be completed by laparoscopic surgery. Traditional open surgery has large scar, obvious painful incision and long recovery time. Minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery has small scar, usually 5mm-10mm, light postoperative pain, fast recovery and significantly shorter hospitalization period, and the application of minimally invasive technology in the treatment of malignant tumors can achieve the same radical effect as open surgery. At present, our department has independently carried out laparoscopic appendectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy + laparoscopic choledochotomy for stone extraction, laparoscopic hernia repair, laparoscopic radical surgery for colon cancer and laparoscopic radical surgery for rectal cancer, especially in rectal cancer, the application of laparoscopic minimally invasive technology can significantly improve the rate of anus preservation and avoid the pain of abdominal fistula, and at the same time can obtain good radical effect of tumor cure. In addition, our department has long-term cooperation with the famous professors of Minimally Invasive Center of Nanjing Medical University. For the surgeries not currently carried out in our department, we can invite outside experts for consultation and enjoy the treatment of national experts nearby for the convenience of patients.
