Sebaceous cysts, also commonly known as acne, are cystic structures that result from the swelling of the sebaceous epithelium by the gradually increasing contents of the sebaceous gland due to the obstruction of the excretory ducts of the sebaceous glands. Usually, cystic structures are not easily absorbed by tissues, so sebaceous cysts are generally not easily cured. If sebaceous cysts are to be treated, they can be surgically peeled and removed for the purpose of eradication. A simple treatment can also be taken for small sebaceous cysts, where an opening can be made in the skin by laser and minimally invasive methods, and then the contents inside the sebaceous cyst can be squeezed out to achieve cosmetic repair. However, there is a risk of recurrence because the sebaceous cyst is not completely removed. It is important to focus on prevention for sebaceous cysts by keeping the skin clean on a daily basis so that the openings of the sebaceous glands are open and conducive to the excretion of secretions. If red inflammatory papules appear on the skin, try not to over squeeze them, which can lead to further damage to the hair follicles.
