How long can you live with bone cancer?

Survival time of bone cancer patients depends on the type of disease, malignancy degree, and treatment methods, which need to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis. If it is primary bone cancer, which is found early and has no obvious metastasis, the integrated treatment of chemotherapy-surgery-chemotherapy can be chosen, which has a chance of complete cure. If there is no recurrence within five years after treatment, the patient can theoretically survive for a long time and the survival time may be the same as normal people without affecting the life expectancy. If bone cancer is found late and distant metastasis has occurred, or there is obvious local infiltration, which cannot be completely removed by surgery, patients’ survival time is relatively short, and some patients’ survival time may only be about one year or shorter, the exact time is determined by the condition and subsequent treatment. Therefore, it is recommended that patients should go to the oncology department of regular hospitals for consultation and examination in a timely manner after being diagnosed with bone cancer, so that professional doctors can formulate reasonable treatment plans according to specific conditions to maximize the survival period.
