What are the pleural effusion cancer cells

The cancers that cause pleural effusion are adenocarcinoma and squamous carcinoma.
Both squamous lung cancer and adenocarcinoma of the lung can cause pleural effusion. Other cancers such as breast cancer, thyroid cancer, nasopharyngeal cancer and gynecological choriocarcinoma can also cause pleural effusion when they develop double lung metastasis. Especially ovarian cancer with lung metastasis is likely to cause large amount of pleural effusion.
Lung adenocarcinoma may have metastasis of pleural fluid, so the cancer cells may be adenocarcinoma cells. Usually, adenocarcinoma cells are more common in pleural effusion, especially malignant pleural effusion caused by non-small cell lung cancer is the most common.
Cancer cells found in pleural effusion usually indicate that the tumor is in advanced stage, and the treatment effect is usually poor, and the most common is metastasis of lung cancer in pleural fluid, which needs to be treated for the primary disease as well as symptomatic treatment for malignant pleural effusion.
It is recommended to go to relevant specialties for consultation and treatment. Usually, medication should be administered in strict compliance with doctor’s prescription, and attention should be paid to diet and rest.
