Pleural effusion is recommended to eat high-protein foods such as egg protein, soy products, etc., and at the same time, according to the cause of the oral treatment of the appropriate anti-tuberculosis, diuretic drugs, if necessary, supplemented with thoracocentesis or closed drainage of the chest to eliminate the fastest.
The balance between pleural exudation and absorption of fluid in the human chest cavity is disrupted, and excessive exudation of fluid from the pleural cavity, which cannot be quickly absorbed, leads to pleural effusion.
When pleural effusion occurs, it needs to be treated differently depending on the amount of effusion and the cause of the disease.
1. Large amounts of fluid require prompt evacuation of the fluid or continuous closed chest drainage;
2. A small amount of pleural effusion, with a small safety margin, cannot be relieved by basic evacuation of the effusion or continuous closed chest drainage, then a high protein diet can be strengthened to increase the colloid osmotic pressure of the blood, allowing rapid absorption of the effusion;
3. Pleural effusion also needs further treatment for the cause of the disease, which may require oral treatment with appropriate anti-tuberculosis, diuretic, corrective heart failure medication, or even tumor resection or cardiac surgery and other treatments for the location of the lesion, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital to identify the cause of the disease and receive professional treatment.
