What is the cause of constant constipation

Constipation is a common symptom of the gastrointestinal tract in which the number of bowel movements decreases, the volume of stool decreases and even the stool is dry and labored. The causes of constipation can be divided into two main types: organic and functional. Organic lesions commonly include tumor, inflammation or other causes of intestinal lumen narrowing or obstruction; rectal and anal lesions; rectal prolapse, hemorrhoids, prerectal bulge, puborectal hypertrophy, puborectal separation, pelvic floor diseases; prolonged illness or postpartum resulting in weakened contraction of diaphragm, abdominal muscles, anal raphe muscles, so that the lack of defecation power, feces should not be expelled. The etiology of functional constipation may be related to a variety of factors, including low food intake or lack of fiber or water, mental and environmental factors that affect normal bowel movements, lack of exercise leading to colonic motility disorders, or laxative abuse leading to dependent constipation. In short, for short-term constipation symptoms, you should promptly go to the hospital for examination to clarify the cause and avoid ignoring some important disease signals. If organic lesions are found, timely treatment should be carried out according to the needs of the condition. At the same time, one should avoid using some stimulating laxatives that cause further decline of the intestinal function.
