The patient, a 16-year-old female, was admitted with episodic tetanic convulsions with loss of consciousness for more than 10 years. The postoperative paraffin pathology was a diffuse astrocytoma. The images show preoperative and postoperative axial and sagittal cranial MRI comparisons. The low signal (black) lesion shown by red arrow is the tumor. The green arrows show the operative cavity after total tumor resection. There are no postoperative complications.
