Difference between solid and cystic thyroid nodules

Solid thyroid nodules and cystic nodules have the following differences: first, the internal structure of the nodules is different. Cystic nodules have the possibility of malignant lesions, especially the solid part, and if the morphology is poor or the aspect ratio is out of proportion, the possibility of malignant lesions is higher, and should be removed early and diagnosed by pathological examination. Secondly, simple cystic nodules are usually benign, and from the perspective of thyroid grading, these nodules are usually grade 2 and can be observed clinically, and if there are no symptoms of pressure, no treatment is needed. These are the differences between cystic nodules and cystic nodules in the thyroid gland. Patients who have thyroid nodules are advised to go to a regular hospital for examination and treatment under the guidance of a doctor.
