Can infantile hemangiomas grow more and more

Infantile hemangioma may get more and more, depending on different types. Capillary hemangioma may stop growing within 1 year, cavernous hemangioma may grow or subside, and trapezoidal hemangioma will expand. 1. Capillary hemangioma: mostly seen in infants, red spots or small erythema on the skin are seen at birth or early postnatal period, and gradually increase in size. Most of them are misshapen tumors, which can stop growing or subside within 1 year. 2. Cavernous hemangioma: some of them grow rapidly in a short period of time after birth and are effective in hormonal treatment, some of them can subside naturally, and some of them can be found after birth and persist more stably into adulthood. Cavernous hemangiomas have a tendency to regress naturally, and the regression is often incomplete, replaced by fat and fibrous tissue. 3. Trapezoidal hemangioma: it is a complication of arteriovenous fistula on the basis of more stable vascular malformation such as cavernous hemangioma or wine stain, and nearly half of the patients have the signs of arteriovenous fistula in infancy and childhood. Such trapezoidal hemangiomas expand progressively with age, while the rest of the patients have a sudden and rapid exacerbation after several years of stabilization. Trapezoidal hemangiomas have no possibility of fading, and there is a tendency for the disease to accelerate during pregnancy. Parents of children with hemangiomas should bring them to the hospital in time, and standardize the treatment under the guidance of doctors.
