The difference between early diagnosis and early treatment and late diagnosis and treatment, both during and after treatment, is worlds apart: the cure rate of early stage lung cancer can reach more than 85% after surgery, and the treatment cost is low, the treatment comorbidity is low, and the quality of life of patients is high, while the cure rate of late stage lung cancer is extremely low, less than 15%, and patients suffer a lot from treatment and have a low quality of life. However, whether patients are in early or late stage, they should undergo regular treatment because only regular treatment can prolong patients’ survival time.
