What should I pay attention to in my diet for glioma patients?

Glioma is a malignant tumor that causes great pain to patients. In the process of active treatment, patients should not neglect their dietary habits in daily life, and the following is a list of dietary items that glioma patients need to pay attention to. 1, dietary fiber and glioma The results of the study showed that the control group consumed more vegetables and fruits than the case group and showed a negative association. This suggests that vegetables and fruits have a protective effect on glioma. Vitamin-rich fruits and vegetables are protective against brain tumors, especially citrus fruits. Vegetables, fruits and cereals are rich in dietary fiber, mainly cellulose, lignin, hemicellulose, polypentose, gum and pectin, which can reduce the incidence of tumors such as colorectal cancer. Dietary fiber can prevent carcinogenesis induced by certain chemical carcinogens, and it can also adjust hormones or endogenous tumor suppressors in the body. Regarding the cancer prevention mechanism of dietary fiber: (1) dietary fiber can reduce the concentration of carcinogens in the large intestine (2) it can shorten the passage time of toxic substances in the intestinal lumen and reduce the contact time between carcinogens and tissues (3) it can influence the production of certain carcinogenic or pre-carcinogenic substances (4) it has a regulatory effect on endocrine and other systems, thus affecting the generation and development of tumors. 2.Vitamins and glioma Vegetables and fruits are rich in fiber and vitamin-like substances. In addition to dietary fiber, vitamins play a key role in the prevention of tumors by vegetables and fruits. Carrots are rich in carotenoids, while tomatoes, oranges, apples and other vegetables are rich in vitamin C. They are negatively associated with the occurrence of glioma. Fresh fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C have a significant preventive effect on tumors. The mechanism of action of vitamin C is to inhibit the synthesis of endogenous nitrosamines and the conversion of tissue cells to carcinogenic compounds, and even to reverse the conversion of cells already converted. It is due to the anti-cancer effect of vitamin C that a daily intake of 100mg or more is generally recommended. Vitamin E can inhibit the formation of carcinogenic nitrosamines and free radicals, protect the normal differentiation of cells and enhance the immune function of the body. Glioma and daily diet are inseparable. Some people have tried various treatments, but their condition is still not relieved, which is probably caused by their bad eating habits, don’t think that as long as you take some medicine, everything will be fine, without the cooperation of good life and eating habits, it is difficult for good treatment methods to play the role it should play.
