Self-healing methods for thyroid nodules

The treatment of nodular lesions of the thyroid gland must be combined with the actual condition of the patient. Some non-functional nodules do not require clinical treatment and can be considered self-healing if they are reviewed. Common thyroid nodular lesions include nodular goiter, tumor nodules, thyroid cysts, inflammatory nodules, etc. It is necessary to improve the relevant tests to clarify the specific type of nodules and then consider whether to treat them. In the case of nodular goiter, for non-functional nodules that do not cause physical changes, treatment is not necessary. It is recommended that ultrasound and thyroid function tests be performed once every six months to a year, and that changes in nodule size and shape be observed. For nodules that are not treated with medication, surgery should be considered. For neoplastic nodules, surgery or radiation therapy with iodine 131 should be considered. For thyroid cysts, if the cysts are not particularly large and do not cause any pressure on the surrounding tissues, they can be considered without treatment, but for particularly large cysts, surgery should be considered. For inflammatory nodules, it depends on the severity of the physical symptoms, and then consider oral medication. In short, for patients with thyroid nodules, there is no self-healing treatment, it is still necessary to check and clarify the condition before treatment.
