Manifestations of periodontal disease

Periodontal disease is a disease that occurs in the supporting tissues of the teeth and usually manifests itself in symptoms such as bleeding gums, bad breath and pus, periodontal pocket formation and loose teeth. 1. Bleeding gums: Periodontal diseases are mainly characterized by red, swollen and bleeding gums. Gums may bleed when brushing teeth or chewing hard objects, and the amount of blood is usually small. 2. Bad breath and pus: Patients with periodontal disease also have bad breath and pus, which cannot be improved by brushing teeth. 3. Periodontal pocket formation: inflammatory stimulation of periodontal disease destroys the periodontal tissues, separating the gums from the tooth surface and deepening the gingival sulcus to form periodontal pockets. 4. Loose teeth: the supporting tissues around the roots of the teeth are severely damaged, resulting in loose teeth, shifting, and even loss of teeth. Periodontal disease should be consulted as soon as possible, under the guidance of the doctor to carry out timely and effective treatment to prevent the further development of periodontal disease.
