Most patients with novel coronavirus infection will have typical symptoms such as fever, dry cough, and malaise, and may develop a persistent fever of 38 degrees or higher, or even a high fever of 39 degrees or higher, which can last for more than 72 hours. Persistent fever is often accompanied by complications such as dyspnea, cough, and malaise. However, there are a few patients with mild symptoms who only have a low fever of less than 38 degrees or no obvious fever symptoms, and some patients with severe or critical illness may also have a low to moderate fever or even no obvious fever during the course of the disease.
