Symptoms of vestibular gland cysts in women

Vestibular gland cysts in women form due to blockage of the vestibular gland ducts, resulting in fluid pooling in the vestibular gland. In the absence of significant inflammatory stimuli, vestibular gland abscesses have no specific symptoms. In particular, when the vestibular gland abscess is less than 1 cm, women do not have any special symptoms, which are only noticed during occasional bathing or physical examination. If the vestibular gland cyst is larger than 3cm, the most common symptom is localized swelling and discomfort in the labia minora caused by friction with underwear when walking or exercising, and localized redness and pain if the vestibular gland cyst is inflamed.
