How are vestibular gland cysts treated?

  The vestibular glands are located 1 / 3 deep below the labia majora bilaterally and the ducts open between the hymen and labia minora. The common vestibular gland lesions are vestibulitis, vestibular gland abscess and vestibular gland cyst. In the acute stage, the mouth of the Bartholin’s gland is blocked and pus cannot flow out to form an abscess, called vestibular gland abscess; after the chronic stage, the pus is gradually absorbed to form a clear and transparent erect fluid, called vestibular gland cyst.  Diagnostic points 1, clinical manifestations vestibular gland local redness, swelling, heat, pain.  2.Gynecological examination: hard nodules appear in the lower 1/3 of the labia majora, with redness, swelling and pressure pain on the surface, abscess formation, fluctuating sensation, and can break down by itself.  3. Auxiliary examination: take smear of secretion or pus and bacterial culture from the opening area of vestibular gland or the place of rupture.  Treatment principles 1, the acute infection period, need to rest, keep local cleanliness.  2, the use of sensitive antibiotics.  3.Small cysts and asymptomatic people can be followed up regularly; after abscess formation, surgical incision and stoma drainage is feasible to preserve the function of the gland.
