Is increased lung texture a precursor to lung cancer?

Increased lung texture may not necessarily be a precursor of lung cancer, but may also be caused by common lung inflammation, such as bronchitis, bronchiectasis, pulmonary edema, etc. Therefore, it needs to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis. Generally speaking, the chance of lung cancer in increased lung texture is very small, and it is most likely to be chronic bronchitis. Chronic bronchitis is mostly caused by long-term unhealthy habits, such as frequent smoking or excessive obesity. When there is an increase in lung texture, you must go to the hospital for specific examinations, such as lung CT and bronchoscopy, to rule out the possibility of cancer. Avoid smoking and drinking, wear a mask on hazy days, and increase or decrease clothing according to the weather conditions. When you go out for exercise, you should choose the time when the weather is good and try to go out less when the environment is bad so as not to increase the burden on the lungs.
