Is the cervix smooth in patients with cervical cancer?

Most people with cervical cancer do not have a smooth cervix, but very few people with a smooth cervix still have cervical cancer. Pathologically, cervical cancer is divided into several categories: the first category is called ectogenic, which is the most common, that is, the surface of the cervix is not very smooth, like papillae or cauliflower-like protrusions, and the tissue is brittle, with contact bleeding. The second type is the endogenous type, which often shows a smooth cervix or mild cervical erosion, a dilated or enlarged and barrel-like cervix, often involving the parametrial tissues and prone to early metastasis.
