What are the symptoms of gout?

The gout at a young age, the current wine dare not drink, the mountains and seafood dare not eat, not because I am arrogant, it is because the fear of pain, can only kick over the brothers friendship boat. This is the life of a gout patient. Today we will talk about gout together. The survey shows that in the past 20 years, the incidence of gout in China has risen sharply, and the average age of people with the disease has dropped to 48.28 years old in 2016, but it was still 48.76 years old in 2015. Gout patients are getting younger and younger, and the youngest gout patient in Qingdao is only 13 years old. How can you get gout at such a young age? What exactly is gout? Don’t worry, before we talk about gout, let’s understand what is hyperuricemia. Hyperuricemia Uric acid is the body’s metabolic waste, under normal circumstances, will be excreted with the urine and stool, but those that have not been excreted, or are about to be excreted, will remain in the blood, the blood uric acid level exceeds the standard, this is hyperuricemia. Do you think that hyperuricemia is not well known? It is the new popular little brother, the new generation of the face of the role, the popularity index skyrocketed, already can and three ‘old fresh meat’: hypertension, hyperlipidemia, hyperglycemia flush. China’s patients with hyperuricemia already account for more than 10 percent of the total population. To put it simply, hyperuricemia is caused when the uric acid content in the blood exceeds the standard, and when the uric acid exceeds the standard to a certain extent, it can’t stay in the blood, so it will precipitate uric acid crystals and hide in the joints. Suddenly, one day, the uric acid crystals hidden in the joints are not honest, and they come to “wave”, making your joints inflamed and starting the severe pain that makes you dream. This is a gout attack! Does a high uric acid level give you gout? How does uric acid get high? Uric acid is a metabolic waste of the body that is mass-produced by the liver and temporarily enters a place called the “uric acid pool”, which is a temporary dumpster for uric acid and is somewhat small, holding up to 1200mg of uric acid. A normal person metabolizes about 750mg of uric acid per day, which is plenty when you think about it. It is the kidneys and intestines that are responsible for disposing of this uric acid waste every day, which means that two-thirds of the uric acid is turned into urine through the kidneys and one-third of the uric acid is excreted through the intestinal stool. If one day the liver produces more uric acid, say up to 1500mg, what happens to the kidneys and intestines that can only handle 750mg per day? Cool ~ the extra 750mg of uric acid can only stay in the blood, increasing the level of uric acid in the blood. In another case, because of kidney dysfunction, only 300mg can be processed, so what happens then? Then the 450mg of unprocessed uric acid will be piled up in the blood as well, which can also lead to hyperuricemia. Does hyperuricemia always escalate to gout? Not necessarily! There is a key link in the middle, the uric acid in the blood continues to increase to a certain level, and will precipitate uric acid crystals. This is known to my fellow physicists, if there is too much solute in a solution, more than the solution’s maximum capacity, the solute will precipitate out and turn into crystals. For example, the sweet icing sugar is produced in this way ~ er, and uric acid crystals are more shy, like to hide in the joints, with the increase in the number of uric acid crystals, gout can come soon. What’s the trigger for this powder keg of gout? It could be a bump, a big meal, or a cold, but these unintentional “little things” can lead to shy uric acid crystals. This is when the ubiquitous white blood cells come on the scene, not only to get rid of the uric acid crystals, but also to eat the crystals in the joint tissues, and incidentally, the joint soft tissues also to make puddles, so that ‘gouty arthritis’ is created. The pockmarked joint soft tissues, and continue to precipitate uric acid crystals combined, gradually proliferation fusion, the formation of gout stone. At this point, the uric acid can really become refined! As the gout stones grow, the joints begin to deform, and in this world of faces, it is a small matter that the joints do not work well, but it is a big matter that they affect the beauty.
