How to treat hemangioma of the liver

Liver hemangioma is a benign lesion, which usually does not need treatment when it is small and is observed on follow-up; if it ruptures and bleeds or if it is large, it can be treated by surgery, arterial embolization or radiofrequency ablation.
Liver hemangiomas tend to grow chronically and have no tendency to become malignant, so they usually only need to be followed up and observed.
If the hepatic hemangioma ruptures and bleeds or grows rapidly within a short period of time, or if malignant transformation is suspected, or if the diameter is larger than 10cm, the hemangioma can be treated by surgical resection.
Arterial embolization is mainly used to achieve the therapeutic effect by embolizing the arterial vessels that nourish the hemangioma, thus making the aneurysm shrink and become smaller.
Radiofrequency ablation mainly uses multi-electrode radiofrequency needles, using the high-temperature energy it produces to cause coagulation and necrosis of hemangiomas, mechanization and absorption, so as to achieve the purpose of treating hemangiomas.
If you suffer from liver hemangioma, you can seek medical examination and treatment.
