Thyroid nodules are mostly benign in category 3. The classification of thyroid nodules is mainly determined by using ultrasound to test the thyroid gland. Usually five percent of thyroid nodules in category 3 are malignant and ninety-five percent are benign. If a thyroid nodule is a category 3 nodule, patients of any kind should be followed up and reviewed regularly in three to six months, and after testing the thyroid secretion index, consult a doctor and take the appropriate medication for management under the doctor’s guidance. If the nodules are accompanied by symptoms of pressure, such as difficulty swallowing and hoarseness, surgery should be considered.
