Kidney stones in infants and children (<3 years old) are a special type of urinary stone patient. Treatment of kidney stones in these patients is tricky, as it is necessary to remove as many stones as possible on the one hand and to protect the patient's safety and kidney function to the greatest extent possible on the other. Percutaneous nephrolithotomy is the best way to treat these patients with large stones. Most percutaneous nephrolithotomy procedures abroad are performed using x-ray localization. For children increased radiation, which may adversely affect the growth and development of the child. Our center uses color ultrasound positioning percutaneous nephrolithoscopy technique, which avoids the potential harm of radiation.
