1. Patients who have had a fragility fracture: A fragility fracture is a fracture that occurs in the absence of trauma or minor trauma. The so-called minor trauma generally refers to the injury caused by a fall on a flat surface or at the height of the body’s center of gravity. Fragility fractures occur mostly in the elderly and are the most serious consequence of osteoporosis, so they are also called osteoporotic fractures. Once a fragility fracture occurs, it must be treated with anti-osteoporosis medication as soon as possible, regardless of the bone density result; 2. If the diagnosis of osteoporosis is made by dual-energy X-ray bone density; 3. If the result of dual-energy X-ray bone density is bone loss, as long as there is more than one risk factor for osteoporosis, it should be treated.
