Relationship between generalized pain and osteoporosis in the elderly

Generalized pain and discomfort often seen in the elderly is one of the common clinical manifestations of senile osteoporosis, which is directly related to osteoporosis. The systemic symptoms caused by osteoporosis mainly manifest as generalized pain, discomfort and weakness, among which the pain and discomfort in the neck, shoulder and lower back are the main ones. The nature of pain is dull pain, sometimes light and sometimes heavy, may suddenly increase, and can be relieved or reduced after rest. The pain and discomfort can be relieved after a little activity. However, the pain and discomfort can be significantly increased if the activity is too much or if the person is overworked. Coughing, sneezing and straining to defecate can cause significant pain and discomfort. The pain and discomfort of the whole body often force the elderly to reduce activities or even rest in bed, while the reduction of activities will lead to the aggravation of osteoporosis, therefore, it can be said that the pain and discomfort of the whole body and osteoporosis are interrelated.
