Pre-operative fine evaluation is the basis to guarantee the effect of tumor treatment. At present, in Jiaodong area, the Department of Bone Oncology of Yantai Mountain Hospital in Yantai City has fully carried out the preoperative refined evaluation system. Ordinary preoperative examination cannot complete specialized and targeted assessment. Refined preoperative assessment is the first and the most critical step of bone and soft tissue tumor treatment. Pre-operative basic condition assessment: to judge the basic condition of the body, the presence of underlying diseases, and the tolerance level of various surgeries. Assessment of benign and malignant tumors: For patients considered to be malignant tumors, the type and grading of the tumor must be clarified as much as possible before surgery, because such patients may have only one chance to survive the surgery. This is the first line of hope for survival. Evaluation of survival period: Surgery is not recommended for patients whose survival period is too short. Assessment of surgical method selection: The function of the limb should be preserved to the greatest extent possible with the complete removal of the tumor. Assessment of the feasibility of preoperative and postoperative radiotherapy for malignant tumors: the sensitivity of malignant tumors to radiotherapy is clarified through puncture biopsy before surgery, and the patient’s life can be saved to the greatest extent through preoperative chemotherapy and chemotherapy sensitivity examination.
