The duration of pain in soft tissue injuries is mainly related to the degree of local soft tissue injury and cannot be generalized. Soft tissue injuries are usually caused by local trauma, which may be accompanied by local pain and may also lead to local qi stagnation and blood stasis, thus triggering the local pain condition. If the injury is a minor bruise, generally pay attention to wound care and avoid infection, usually about 1 week can gradually recover. If the soft tissue injury is particularly severe, it may lead to local skin necrosis, which should be debrided, and wound infection should also be prevented after debridement, and severe cases may require surgical treatment with skin grafting, and the recovery time is usually more than 2 weeks. Meanwhile, patients need cold compresses within 24 hours after injury to avoid further tissue capillary congestion and swelling, and hot compresses can be applied after 48 hours to promote blood circulation and help reduce swelling. In addition, after soft tissue injury, attention should be paid to abstain from spicy and stimulating foods, quit smoking and alcohol to avoid affecting local injury repair.
