How is hair breakage diagnosed?

  Trichotillomania is a chronic disease characterized by an inability to resist the urge to pluck hair, and was introduced by French dermatologists in 1889. They will have repetitive plucking behavior, resulting in a noticeable lack of hair; when they feel great stress before plucking hair, they will fight against this behavior and also generate a lot of stress; when plucking hair there will be pleasure, satisfaction and relaxation. These children often engage in ritualistic behavior, chewing or ingesting the hair. They do not feel pain from pulling out the hair, but rather a strong desire to pull out the hair, a feeling of relief when they do so, and then a feeling of disappointment and guilt.
