How long does it take for fractional to return to normal skin tone

The pigmentation formed after fractional CO2 laser treatment usually takes about 3 months to recover. Fractional CO2 laser is commonly used clinically to treat various superficial scarring such as acne scarring. After fractional CO2 laser treatment, local micro-injuries can be produced, and such micro-injuries can trigger inflammation. The inflammation reaction causes the reduction of sulfur hydrogen group in the skin and the increase of complexinase activity, which can easily lead to local hyperpigmentation if no attention is paid to sun protection. Normal skin tissue contains melanin metabolizing enzymes, which can gradually break down the local melanin through metabolism, thereby gradually restoring the skin to its normal color, a process that usually takes about 3 months. For the pigmentation produced by fractional CO2 laser, the clinic can also choose to systematically take oral vitamin C, vitamin E and glutathione, etc., through its antioxidant effect, remove the body’s free radicals, which is conducive to faster improvement of skin tone.
