Can you squeeze pustular acne?

For pustular acne, it is not recommended to squeeze it by hand. Acne may be locally red at the beginning, and then pus or whiteheads may appear. Artificial squeezing will leave scars and affect the appearance. There are more bacteria on the hands, and squeezing acne may cause secondary bacterial infections, leading to the spread and aggravation of hair follicle and sebaceous gland infections. If it is a relatively superficial papule with pustules, you can use a sterile needle to pick them out, which will heal more easily. It can also be treated with oral or topical antibacterial medications to relieve pustular acne, such as retinoic acid capsules and clindamycin, under the guidance of a doctor. For nodular or cystic acne, it must be treated in a hospital and must not be squeezed on its own.
