Patients with mild type of purpura nephritis, who only have skin petechiae or occult blood in urine routine, can be treated with Chinese herbal medicines, which can be cured by using herbal medicines that activate blood circulation, stop bleeding, diuretic and decongestant, such as Bai Mao Root, Di Yu, Blood Yu Char, and Size Thistle. In patients with severe purpura nephritis, renal puncture examination can be performed to clarify the pathological type. If the pathological type is suggested to be severe, with focal segmental sclerosis and proteinuria >3.5g, treatment needs to rely on western medicine such as hormones and immunosuppressants to slow down the disease progression.
