To which organs does liver cancer tend to metastasize?

Like other malignant tumors, liver cancer can metastasize through blood route, lymphatic route, or direct invasion. However, liver cancer is easy to metastasize through blood, and the most common site of metastasis is lung; other organs that are easy to metastasize are bone, adrenal gland, and brain; liver cancer can also metastasize through lymphatic to lymph nodes in the hilar region or abdomen; liver cancer can also metastasize to gallbladder through direct infiltration. Since liver cancer is easy to metastasize to lung, therefore, patients with liver cancer should routinely check lung X-ray, which can usually detect metastases in lung, or CT lung examination if they are not sure.
