What to do about multiple thyroid nodules

The correct treatment of multiple thyroid nodules depends on the nature of the thyroid nodules: 1. If there are no obvious clinical manifestations of multiple thyroid nodules, the nodules have a uniform shape and clear borders through ultrasound examination, and are all graded below grade 4. If the nodules are not clinically significant, and the nodules have uniform morphology and clear borders, and are graded below grade 4, the patient should be advised to review the thyroid ultrasound in 3-6 months. 2. If the nodules are accompanied by pressure symptoms, even if they are benign tumors, the patient should be advised to undergo surgery as soon as possible to avoid further enlargement of the nodules, which may cause breathing and swallowing difficulties. 3. In this case, the nodules are mostly considered to be cancerous. Patients are advised to undergo thyroidectomy and lymph node dissection of the central and lateral cervical groups as soon as possible to avoid residual cancer cells.
