How to manage pleural effusion?

1.Can a small amount of pleural effusion be absorbed by itself? A small amount of pleural effusion can usually be absorbed by itself. 2.What is the amount that needs to be absorbed by medication? What drugs are generally available? Generally, drugs should be used for medium and large pleural effusions of 500~1000ml or more. The specific drugs to be used should firstly be based on the cause, such as those caused by tuberculosis and tuberculous pleurisy, which require standardized anti-tuberculosis treatment; secondly, glucocorticoid treatment can also be given. 3.What is the amount of pleural fluid that needs to be pumped? Generally, medium and large amounts of fluid need to be pumped, one is to diagnose what is the disease, and the other is to play a therapeutic role. 4.Does it need to be pumped again if pleural effusion occurs repeatedly after pumping? If pleural effusion recurs after pumping, it is usually necessary to pump again, but the key is to find out what causes it. Why does pleural effusion recur after pleural fluid extraction? 5.Will the pleural effusion recur some time after it disappears? Most patients do not have recurrence of pleural effusion for a period of time after it disappears. Generally speaking, there are reasons for its recurrence, either the original treatment is not standardized or there is no good and healthy lifestyle, etc.
