Lymph node inflammation fever takes a few days

When inflammation of lymph nodes occurs, if regular and effective anti-inflammatory treatment is carried out, the fever can often be brought down for 3-5 days, or at most 5-7 days. If there is no active and effective treatment, the fever may last longer, especially in chronic inflammation, which may last even up to a month, so anti-inflammatory treatment is very necessary. The first thing to do is to check the blood count and C-reactive protein. If there is an elevation of white blood cells or neutrophils, accompanied by an elevation of C-reactive protein, it is bacterial lymphadenitis, which needs to be treated with intravenous antibiotics, such as ceftriaxone or cefoperazone. If there is an allergy to a cephalosporin antibiotic, azithromycin may be used. In the case of viral infections, elevated eosinophils or elevated C-reactive protein alone are often present and should be treated with antiviral medications, such as busulfan anti-inflammatory oral solution. For fever, once the temperature exceeds 38.5 degrees, antipyretic drugs such as ibuprofen suspension are required.
