Breast nodules, also known as lumps or occupancies of the breast, include benign and malignant nodules, and there is no clear relationship between their degree of risk and their location. However, if you do not go for regular medical checkups, breast nodules that need to be detected by self-examination, and if they are malignant, when the breast tissue is richer, then breast nodules that grow in the 12 o’clock position and outer upper quadrant can easily be missed by yourself and increase the risk of underdiagnosis, so regular medical checkups are recommended. Clinically, breast nodules are classified into 0-6 grades, mainly based on breast imaging reports and data, the higher the grade, the higher the possibility of malignancy. grade 0 requires re-evaluation or comparison with previous examinations; grade 1 indicates no abnormal findings and belongs to normal breast; grade 2 is a benign breast lesion and requires regular review; grade 3 indicates a higher possibility of benign but less than 2% malignancy and suggests short-term Level 4 has the possibility of suspicious lesions and requires biopsy; Level 5 is highly suspicious of malignancy and appropriate therapeutic measures should be taken; and Level 6 has been biopsy confirmed as malignant. The incidence of breast nodules is high, so it is recommended to conduct more self-examinations, use the end of the index finger, middle finger and ring finger to gently feel the breast in order, and go to the breast surgery department in time when nodules are found.
