Among the patients diagnosed with novel coronavirus infection on January 22, the cause of infection was analyzed to be conjunctival infection caused by not wearing protective glasses during the fever clinic in the hospital, and then to the whole body. The current treatment plan issued by the National Health Commission also mentions that the transmission route of the novel coronavirus is mainly through respiratory droplets, but can also be transmitted through contact. This also indicates that there is a route of infection through droplet transmission caused by splashing of body fluids or blood from patients. Therefore, the novel coronavirus can be transmitted through the eyes.
