Why is there a mass of tuberculosis in the chest wall

Lumps in chest wall tuberculosis are due to the yellow caseous necrotic material and pus remaining in the superficial subcutaneous layers of the chest wall from chest wall tuberculosis.

Tuberculosis of the chest wall is often secondary to tuberculosis of the lungs, due to the tuberculosis of the lungs through the lymphatic system or direct dissemination of metastasis, spread to the thoracic cavity, the lymph nodes in the chest wall lymph node tuberculosis, when the tuberculosis of the necrosis of the tuberculosis will produce a number of yellow cheeselike material and pus, the residue of these materials in the lesion area will form a mass.

The mass is often located inside or outside the intercostal muscles, with pus cavities on both sides, connected by a sinus in the center, which can be dumbbell-shaped, and the mass gradually drops downward, often in the lumbar region or the upper abdominal wall.

Chest wall tuberculosis is treated with a combination of isoniazid, rifampicin, and pyrazinamide, and when the tuberculosis is cured, the lumps will disappear.

All of the above medications should be used under the supervision of a physician and avoid self-medication.
