Why does chest wall tuberculosis recur so easily

There are many reasons why chest wall tuberculosis is prone to recurrence, such as patients do not receive full chemotherapy, chest wall tuberculosis drug resistance, diabetes and poor blood sugar control, etc., which will lead to chest wall tuberculosis prone to recurrence. 1. Patients do not receive full chemotherapy: the principle of anti-tuberculosis chemotherapy is to take anti-tuberculosis drugs in early stage, combination, appropriate amount, regularity and full course, of which full course means that patients must insist on completing the prescribed course of treatment according to the treatment program, so as to improve the cure rate and reduce the recurrence rate. When patients stop taking anti-tuberculosis drugs without authorization, or omit to take anti-tuberculosis drugs, i.e., when they do not take drugs according to the prescribed course of treatment, they are prone to relapse. 2. Chest wall tuberculosis drug resistance: antibacterial drugs, if inappropriate or incorrect use, or the use of ineffective drug formulations, and premature interruption of treatment, can cause drug resistance, which will lead to a decrease in drug sensitivity or even disappearance of the medication, i.e., the drugs taken to reduce the efficacy or even ineffective against tuberculosis, which is one of the reasons for easy relapse. 3. Patients with diabetes and poor blood sugar control: when the patient’s body is in a state of high blood sugar, it will provide sufficient nutrients to the tuberculosis bacteria to promote their growth and reproduction, which will also greatly increase the risk of recurrence of chest wall tuberculosis. When chest wall tuberculosis is prone to recurrence, patients need to go to the hospital in time, ask the specialist to find out the reasons for the recurrence, and change the drug regimen in time in order to stop the recurrence and cure the disease as soon as possible.
