How to Read Cervical Cancer Screening Report

The analysis of cervical cancer screening report results is reflected in the following aspects: 1. If the cervical cancer screening report shows that it is in the normal range or no abnormality or NILM, it shows that the patient belongs to the normal state and regular review is sufficient. 2. If the report result shows that it is an inflammatory lesion or no abnormality or NILM, it shows that the patient is an inflammatory lesion and regular review is sufficient. 3. ASCUS, it shows that neither benign nor malignant can be confirmed, and is in the range of unclear significance. Patients are usually advised to combine HPV results for comprehensive analysis, and biopsy or regular review if necessary.4. If the report result shows ASC-H, it shows a tendency towards high intraepithelial lesions, and patients are then required to do colposcopy and cervical biopsy and pathological testing to clarify the diagnosis.5. LSIL This usually refers to low-grade intraepithelial lesions and requires antiviral testing or cervical conization.6 HSIL shows a tendency towards high-grade intraepithelial lesions and requires cervical colposcopy and biopsy for pathological testing to clarify the extent of the lesions and to choose whether to undergo surgical excision. Therefore, patients are advised to consult their doctor if they see a report showing a bunch of unreadable letters, and the next step may be colposcopy or biopsy for early detection and early treatment and regular review.
