How to detect liver cancer early?

1.Symptoms: Early stage liver cancer often has no symptoms or non-specific symptoms, while the symptoms of middle and late stage liver cancer are more common. There are also symptoms that are not obvious or only manifested as metastases. 2.Signs: Early stage hepatocellular carcinoma often has no obvious positive signs or only resembles the signs of cirrhosis. In middle and late stage liver cancer, signs such as liver enlargement, jaundice and ascites usually appear. In addition, those with combined cirrhosis often have liver palm, spider nevus, enlarged male breast, lower limb edema, etc. When extrahepatic metastasis occurs, the corresponding signs of each metastatic site may appear. 3.Complications: common ones include upper gastrointestinal bleeding, hepatocellular carcinoma rupture and bleeding, liver and kidney failure, etc. If there are hypoechoic lesions on abdominal ultrasound, request for appointment of abdominal enhancement CT or MRI for further confirmation. In addition, patients with slow hepatitis B and C, especially those who have developed into cirrhosis, should undergo abdominal ultrasound and methemoglobin testing at an interval of 3-6 months.
